About Eiko Koike

Eiko Koike is a Japanese actress, gravure idol and model.

Koike starred in Kunitoshi Manda's film The Kiss.

She appeared in Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 2012 television drama Penance and co-starred in Junji Sakamoto's A Chorus of Angels with Sayuri Yoshinaga.

She also co-starred in Masanori Tominaga's Vengeance Can Wait with Takayuki Yamada.

She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at Japan Academy Prize for her outstanding performance in the film Rebirth.

Outside of Japan, her best-known work is the film 2LDK.

She has worked as a ringside commentator and spokesperson for Japan's PRIDE Fighting Championships from 2000 to 2006.

Eiko has been married to Wataru Sakata since 29 August 2007.
