How contributor status works

On 14 September 2026, we updated how everyone's points are calculated, to make contributor status fairer and harder to game.

  • Several saves on the same profile in a row count as one edit. Saves that change nothing don't count.
  • Ratings from Trusted and Top contributors in the revision history make an edit count.
  • Some of your work on the Contribute page can add a little. Voting on cases doesn't count.
  • Comment votes count less: one member can't change your score, and the total is capped.
  • Trusted at 500 points, Top at 5,000 with an account at least 9 months old. Losing a few points no longer costs you your status.

About:It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is what you can expect from Babepedia. You can expect “Top Contributors” who apparently have plenty of time to watch what everyone else is doing, but considerably less time to actually contribute anything useful. You can expect perfectly legitimate edits to become controversial because, apparently, improving a biography can sometimes be more complicated than it needs to be. You can expect disagreements to turn into juvenile retaliation and personal attacks, including from “Top Contributors” who consistently abuse their privileges, while Administrators apparently ignore it all. You can expect disrespectful comments by grown-ass men (30 yrs older then me, it seems) who seem to think disagreeing with someone gives them permission to attack the person instead of addressing what they actually said. You can expect comments to be reported, reports to become their own little adventure, and moderation systems that somehow create almost as many questions as they were supposed to solve. You can expect people to vote based on what was actually said, who said it, who they like, who they don't like, or perhaps simply the alignment of the planets. I'm still trying to determine which. You can expect rules that aren't always clear, terminology preserved in amber since the 1990s, and the occasional decision that makes you stop and think: “Wait... seriously?” You can expect edits to be reverted, revisions restored, revisions of those revisions restored, and eventually someone wondering why the history looks like it was edited by a time machine. And yes, you can expect people to disagree. That's fine. What isn't fine is when contributing, correcting information, or simply asking questions becomes less important than who made the contribution. So what can you expect from me? It actually doesn't really matter anymore. I've got better things to do with my time than constantly trying to make sense of the nonsense around here.
