She is best known as the guitarist for the punk band the Slits from 1977 until 1982, with whom she recorded two studio albums. Prior to joining the Slits, Albertine was a member of the Flowers of Romance.

Yes indeed. She was basically the most sought-after woman of the UK's original punk era. The Slits are admittedly pretty bad, but her looks certainly were not.
