About Laurie Wood
Laurie Jo Wood (born 23 June 1967 in Orange, California) is an American nude model and actress. She was chosen as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for its March 1989 issue.
Laurie, who suggested in her pictorial that her appearance was a gift to her husband, is not believed to have posed for the magazine again after her initial appearance, and subsequent appearances in Playboy magazines were outtakes from her 1988-89 sessions.
Laurie Jo Wood grew up in Sparks, Nevada. Wood graduated from Sparks High School in 1985. She specifically decided to do a nude pictorial in the famous men's magazine as a surprise birthday present for her husband Jeff. According to Wood's profile in Playboy, she was still a virgin when she first got married to her onetime Coast Guard yeoman husband. Laurie went on to appear in a couple of Playboy videos before eventually dropping out of the public spotlight.

he was married to her long before she got the idea to pose for the magazine as a surprise gift to him. Rumor has it he was very upset that she would do this without even asking for his permission, let alone having all the other men see her privates,something she claimed was meant for him to see only. He called her bluff. But he did not marry a playboy playmate. He wanted to divorce her once she became one, as any self-respecting man obviously would immediately. These are fantasy girls,so unless the husband or boyfriend is a pimp for her, no love,just making money off her, then they would leave after a woman does this. Breach of marital contract or even moral fabric of a relationship. Marrying a woman after the fact,when she was single during the shoot, that is a whole different situation.
