Julia Anne Clarke was selected as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for March 1991, and she appeared on the cover of the April 1991 issue.

Julie belonged to a group of Playmates that became known as the "dream teens" around the Playboy mansion. The group was a clique of Playmates that were teenagers when they posed nude for the magazine during the early 90s. The group also contained fellow Playmates Wendy Kaye, Cady Cantrell, Tanya Beyer, Tiffany Sloan, Echo Johnson, and Jennifer LeRoy. They were often described around Playboy circles as being very immature and were thought of as behaving "like a bunch of high schoolers," when in fact, all the members of the group had just recently graduated from high school when they posed nude for the men's magazine. They often clashed with and were not well-received by the older Playmates, when in fact they were immensely popular and well-liked by the men that visited the Playboy mansion at the time. The name "dream teens" was derived from the then popular "dream team," a collection of NBA basketball players that represented the United States at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
