Wendy Kaye is Miss July 1991, the patriotic blonde with the East Beach ass and the perky natural tits. She also landed the April 1992 cover, which is the shot a lot of guys remember even if they have the month wrong. Born May 5, 1972, in Memphis. Navy-flier dad. Playboy said she was the first girl born at a new naval hospital there, and that her first Fourth of July was when she was a month old. They ran with that hard: 19-year-old Santa Barbara babe as Miss July, flags and all.
Playboy had her at 5'6", 112 pounds, 34-23-35. Plus calls the chest a 34D. Blonde, blue eyes, tiny waist, real boobs, tight little body. She had just gotten out of Santa Barbara High in 1990. The yearbook crowd voted her “Most Likely to Have a Secret Admirer” and “Best Rear View,” which tracks. By senior year they were calling her Barbie on East Beach, usually in a thong. She told the magazine she used to be too shy to even walk onto that stretch of sand. The centerfold is not a shy girl. It is a 19-year-old California blonde who took it all off and looked like she belonged in the issue.

The copy is as American as the month. Favorite holiday is the Fourth. Thanks to God, her parents, and the troops. Some line about a lightning bolt telling her to do something different with her life. She rode a float in the Desert Storm parade in Manhattan. Around the Mansion she ran with the other barely-out-of-school Playmates from that stretch — Julie Clarke, Cady Cantrell, Tanya Beyer, Tiffany Sloan, Echo Johnson, Jennifer LeRoy — the pack fans later tagged the “dream teens,” a joke off the 1992 Olympic Dream Team. That was never an official Playboy title. It was just the young blonde clique: still acting like seniors, not always loved by the older Playmates, very popular with the guys coming through the house.

Richard Fegley shot the April 1992 cover. After the monthly she stayed in the mix — lingerie specials, Wet & Wild, calendars, Playmates in Paradise, the Baywatch tape after a bit on the show. Uncredited girl-in-bed in Miracle Beach. She is also in Party Girls II. There is an old Santa Barbara TV interview from 1991 if you want to hear her talk. After the specials dry up around 2000, she pretty much disappears from the public stuff.
What guys still go off on is pretty simple: that tight 19-year-old body, a fantastic ass, small perky tits with nipples that sit up, and a trimmed bush that shows when she is on all fours or bent over in the red-and-white striped top. Golden blonde, no tattoos, not shaved bald. For a lot of readers the July ’91 issue was the first Playboy they ever bought, and she was the centerfold that went on the wall.
