Danielle Jane Minogue is an Australian singer, actress, and television personality. She came to prominence for her appearances on the television talent show Young Talent Time (1982–1988), and went on to play the role of Emma Jackson in the soap opera Home and Away (1989–1990). Minogue began her music career in the early 1990s, achieving commercial success throughout the nineties.

Dannii reinvented herself as a TV personality in 2006, becoming a judge on various TV Talent Shows. Her first shows were on the UK based X-Factor, but more recently Minogue has featured as a judge and mentor on Australian TV Talent Shows.

Throughout her career, Minogue has often been compared with her sister, Kylie Minogue, whose music career has been considerably more successful. Referring to the comparison, Minogue said: "It is hard to be compared all the time to Kylie. On the other hand, however, people will always try to compare you to somebody." In an interview with Elle in April 2009, Kylie criticised X Factor judge Louis Walsh for his jibes at her sister: "I'm so proud of my sister Dannii, and it annoys the hell out of me when comparisons between us are made."

Despite Kylie’s bigger success within the music industry, Dannii has a reputation as the sexier sister, with many considering Dannii a raunchier version of Kylie.

Dannii had breast augmentation in 1994, taking her to a D cup size. Minogue told an Australian TV show she had a "transformation" after she split with her husband: "The girls arrived. It was something I needed to do at that time. I was like, 'Check these out !”. Dannii admitted she is "proud" of her boob job and said they helped boost her confidence after her divorce. Dannii added that when her sister, Kylie, first saw her new boobs, she exclaimed, “OMG, they are huge, how do I compete with them!”.

In October 1995, Minogue posed nude in the Australian edition of Playboy. Commenting on the reason she posed nude, Minogue said: "Most women go to the hairdressers – I did Playboy. I chose the photographer, the location, what I did or didn't want to wear, and everything else about the pictures. I found it a really liberating, empowering experience."

Dannii has posed topless many times, and despite her sister Kylie also being very much a sex symbol, Dannii has cemented an even sexier reputation over the years, as the raunchier Minogue.

In August 2008, Minogue began dating English model and former professional rugby league player Kris Smith. They met in Ibiza, where Smith was celebrating his 30th birthday. On 9 January 2010, it was announced that Minogue was pregnant; the news was revealed after receiving her 12-week scan.[116] Minogue gave birth via caesarean section to an 8 lb 3oz/4 kg boy,[117] at Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 5 July 2010.[118][117] She had previously planned for a home birth.[119][120][121] In April 2012, Minogue announced on Twitter that she and Smith had separated.[122]
