Lynda Carter (born July 24, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American actress, dancer and singer. She is best known for the Amazonian title role in the fantasy-adventure television series Wonder Woman which aired from 1975 to 1979 and her tall, sculpted hourglass figure. Lynda Carter's portrayal of Wonder Woman and her association with the costume has been so popular and enduring that it has been virtually impossible to cast another actress in the same role.
She was Miss World USA in 1972.

I remember Lynda Carter heating up the TV as Wonder Woman before I even thought of women. She is the closest thing to Wonder Woman stepping out of a comic book and coming into the real world as we will ever get.
