About Sophie Thalmann
Sophie Thalmann was born on May 7, 1976 in Bar-le-Duc in Lorraine.
In 1996, then aged 20, she became Miss Meuse and the following year, she established herself as Miss Lorraine.
Full of ambition, Sophie Thalmann then ran for the Miss France 1998 election and won this title.
She is the 68th Miss France.
She succeeded Patricia Spehar.
Here her career began: she took her first steps on television with Michel Drucker then worked for Radio Bleu Sud Lorrain.
In 1999, Sophie Thalmann was hired as co-host and joined the team of Téléfoot on TF1.
She was the female emblem of the show for three years.
She also participates in other television programs, including Y'a pas photo with Laurent Fontaine and Pascal Bataille.
At the same time, passionate about horses, she hosts a few columns on the Equidia channel and also writes several books on the world of horse.
Thalmann married Belgian jockey Christophe Soumillon on 22 July 2006. The couple have three children, daughter Charlie (born September 2005), son Mika (born November 2008) and son Robin (born April 2017).
