Isis Gaston (born January 1, 2000), known professionally as Ice Spice, is an American rapper. She is most known for her viral songs "Munch (Feelin' U)" and "Bikini Bottom."

Isis Gaston was born in the Bronx, where she was raised in the Fordham Road area of the borough. She is the oldest of five siblings. Her father, who is a former underground rapper, is African American, while her mother, who gave birth to Gaston at age 17, is Dominican; the two first met at a McDonald's and divorced when Gaston was two years old. Because her parents were frequently busy working, she spent much of her time with her grandparents and cousins growing up. She went to school in the Bronx until she was sent to a Catholic high school in Yonkers. At age seven, she took a liking to hip hop after listening to rappers like Lil' Kim▲ and wrote poetry and freestyle raps from elementary school to high school.

2020–present: Mainstream recognition

She started rapping in 2021 after meeting producer RiotUSA while the two were attending SUNY Purchase, where Ice Spice eventually dropped out. He produced her debut song, "Bully," released in March 2021 after a video of Ice Spice doing the "Buss It" challenge went viral on Twitter. Her song "Name of Love" gained traction on SoundCloud, which led to her becoming popular on Instagram. Ice Spice's song "Munch (Feelin' U)," released in August 2022 with a music video and produced by Riot, gained popularity after getting support from Drake, who played the song on his Sirius XM radio station, Sound 42. It subsequently went viral on Twitter and TikTok and charted on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Bubbling Under Hot 100 charts. In September 2022, she was featured on the song "One Time" by B-Lovee. That same month, she signed a record deal with 10K Projects & Capitol Records. On October 28, she released the single "Bikini Bottom." In September of 2023, Ice Spice started appearing in a Dunkin' commercial with Ben Affleck, the former husband of Jennifer Garner and the on-again/off-again romantic partner of Jennifer Lopez. He also played Batman.

As of April 2025, Iris has amassed 11.4 million followers on Instagram, 13.0 million followers on TikTok, and 2.9 million subscribers on her YouTube platform.

She is friends with Taylor Swift. Taylor likes her because it's like hauling around a life-size Annie doll when she has her curly-top afro wig. She goes with Taylor to Kansas City, Missouri, United States, to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play American football. Taylor has many friends in Missouri at the American football stadium, and they have parties while the game is in progress.
