Cindy Brooks is an American model and actress. She was chosen as Playboy's playmate for the month in April 1985.

At the time she was aged 33, which made her the 2nd oldest Playmate to appear in the magazine at the time, after Playmate of August 1957, Dolores Donlon( who was nearly 37 upon the publication).

In November 1993 Cindy Brooks narrowly retained 2nd place when Julianna Young, also 33, appeared as a Playmate when she was three and a half months younger than Cindy.
She remained 2nd oldest for 17 years and 9 months, until January 2003, when Rebecca Anne Ramos became the 2nd oldest Playmate at age 35. And then Khrystyana Kazakova became the 2nd oldest Playmate in November 2020, also aged 35, making Cindy the 4th oldest.


The "J" in her name is for John. Her father's name. Her father built and operated "Fantasyland", a storybook theme park in Gettysburg, where Cindy worked during summers right through her college years.

She is an accomplished polo player. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer and two years to live in 1996. Cured herself using only alternative medicine and was cancer free in ten months. Twenty nine years later she has continued to be cancer free.
