Jenna is the eldest of three children, with a brother and a sister, she was raised in a typical suburban environment. She attended Hilltop High School, graduating with honors in 2005 as a straight-A student, with aspirations of becoming a news anchor. However, her teenage years were marked by challenges, including a traumatic rape at age 14 and struggles with self-esteem. She began crossing the border into Tijuana, Mexico, at 15 to party, which led to exotic dancing on weekends. She briefly attended Santa Barbara City College in June 2005 but left in October, citing financial pressures.

Jenna used the stage name Jenna Presley in her professional work and is also credited as Brittni Ruiz and Jenna Pressley in some contexts. After leaving college, she worked as a telemarketer but returned to stripping at Spearmint Rhino in Santa Barbara.
