Add scoring half points

The biggest improvement to this site would be the ability to score half points such as 7.5 or 6.5.

Agreed, it would add more option. 10s can be a 9.5 when factoring in personality.

@Rott: We will leave this up and let others chime in. We see this as having many more disadvantages than advantages:
1) Choice overload isn't good for the user experience
2) Users voting low are given even more power
3) Risk for regressions, as many aspects of the site need to be updated
4) Changing mid-way can trigger “my 1,000+ votes are now inconsistent” frustration.
If there are many other users backing it (with comments, not just thumbs up) and there is little opposition, we will consider it.

@Douggy510: Just a few months ago (in September), you were strongly advocating here for reducing the entire voting system from 10 stars to 5 stars, which is the complete opposite of this idea. What made you change your mind? You made good points back then ("reducing the negative voting power" and 5 stars being the most commonly used system), but the change was too drastic, and the idea received multiple fake votes (which is no longer possible).

@Pryda my issue is with abuse, but I also can see the argument for having more range in that maybe having 5 stars and allowing the 4.5 would be where i'd be most happy. But I know you'll never go for that or the .5 option.

I often can't decide to vote 6 or 7 or whatever so I end up not voting on that babe at all. Happens a lot. Voting half points would make things easier & more accurate. But if it's more trouble than it's worth I get it.

how about 1 for no stars to represent a negative star cause theres alot of babes on here i persoanly think are straight out of a horro film and im sure their are other who feel the same ... being able to block certain babe profiles would also help with this for example u give her a not star rating shes is now blocked from your veiwership and ability to comment on

I was going to suggest the same idea for half votes but thankfully I found this post in time before opening a new one.
So yes, I'd appreciate the chance to give, for example, a 9,5 to a woman I really like but not to the point to consider her a perfect 10.

I weighed in when the voting format was being changed and there was potentially going to be a warning if there was a vote below 6. I’ve always voted as though it was a letter grade (A=9 or 10, B=7 or 8, etc.), so half-votes seem like they are wildly unnecessary when the scale is already ten stars. Rather than adding half-stars, why not try removing the stigma that seems to be attached to lower ratings. If everyone agrees that 5-6 stars is “average,” and votes accordingly, then the 7-10 range offers plenty of finesse for Above Average to Exceptional.

I suddenly feel like I’m in the “these go to 11” scene in This Is Spinal Tap. 😆
