About Sharon Tay
Sharon Tay is a Singaporean-American former television news anchor and reporter, now working as a luxury real estate agent in Los Angeles. Born in Singapore, she immigrated to the United States at age seven, moving from Connecticut to Massachusetts and even the Philippines before graduating Boston University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career in the late 1980s with roles at Boston Neighborhood Network and other stations, later moving to Los Angeles where she became a prominent morning news anchor for KTLA, as well as for KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV. A multi-Emmy Award-winning journalist fluent in Spanish and Cantonese, Tay occasionally appeared in films and TV shows as a news anchor. After more than three decades in broadcasting, she transitioned around 2020 to real estate, joining The Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman, where she leverages her research skills, work ethic, and long-term LA residency to serve clients in the luxury market.
