Romina Ramos Cabrera is a Mexican journalist and television presenter who works as one of the main anchors for adn40, a news channel in Mexico. She was born on May 24, 1986, in Tlalpan, Mexico City, and considers herself proudly "tlalpense" despite no longer living in that area of the capital.
Ramos holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the Centro de Estudios en Ciencias de la Comunicación (CECC). She has completed additional specialized training including a diploma in Audiovisual Production, a diploma in Television Announcing and Presenting from RTVE in Madrid, Spain, and a diploma in Communication and Journalism with a Perspective of Peace and Human Rights.
She began her career at Fundación Azteca in a segment called "Vengache pa acá" on the program "Venga la Alegría." She later moved to Televisa, where she worked in the vice presidency of special events, handling responsibilities ranging from art direction to camera direction. She subsequently returned to TV Azteca, where she auditioned for Azteca Deportes and hosted the program "Panoramas en a+."
Ramos initially auditioned for adn40 weekend programming, but her career took a significant turn during the September 19, 2017 earthquake, when her newscast provided continuous coverage of the disaster. This event brought her greater recognition within the channel and established her as one of adn40's stellar presenters.
Currently, Ramos can be seen Monday through Friday at 1:00 PM on adn40.mx. She is passionate about music, journalism, human rights issues, and animal welfare. She practices yoga and is a sports fan, supporting Pumas UNAM, Barcelona FC, Los Angeles Rams (NFL), Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) and the Chicago Cubs (MLB). Her favorite foods include chocolate, pizza and sushi.
She maintains a social media presence on Instagram (@rominaramosc) with approximately 27,000 followers, where she describes herself as a journalist seeking "empathy in statistics, sensitivity in data, from politics to music."
