Elected Miss Alsace 1986, then Miss France 1987, she is the 57th Miss France to hold this title.
She was also the 6th runner-up to Miss World in 1987.
In June 2007, she married Jean-Pierre Pernaut (1950-2022), anchor of the 1 p.m. news on the French mainstream channel TF1.
They met during the Miss France 2002 pageant.
