About Marzia Fontana
Marzia Fontana, born on August 4, 1976, in Arezzo, Italy, is an actress and television host. Growing up in Tuscany, she moved frequently across Italy due to her father’s career as a football player and coach. At 19, she began working in advertising in Milan before moving to Rome, where she earned a Master’s degree in Economics and Commerce with a specialization in Environmental Law.
Marzia started her acting career in commercials and quickly gained recognition as Paola Ruggeri, the lead in Rai Uno’s first soap opera Ricominciare. She went on to appear in popular TV series such as Don Matteo and Carabinieri, and in films including Carlo Mazzacurati’s L’amore ritrovato and Leonardo Pieraccioni’s Io & Marilyn. She also hosted programs for RTV 38 and HSE24.
Today, she splits her time between Rome and Tuscany, where she runs Talent Center, a school for aspiring performers. In 2011, she was elected city councilor in Arezzo with the Democratic Party and served as Provincial Head for Animal Welfare. That same year, she was honored with the title of "Cavaliere dello Sport" for her cultural and social contributions.
