Lauren is an Austin, TX-based actress, stand-up comedian, viral content creator, podcaster, and former Playboy model. She was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in the Mesquite area. She is an only child and was homeschooled for much of her early education due to her gymnastics training.
Lauren was an elite gymnast starting around age 9, she competed as an all-around gymnast and aimed for Olympic-level success, participating in national events. Her career ended at age 16 due to severe, recurring knee injuries. The injuries were debilitating enough that doctors warned further damage could affect her neck.
She moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Her screen career began with shorts like The Fire (2005). She has appeared in over 40 films/TV projects, including roles in horror/comedy films like ClownTown (2016), Hell Girl (2019), and Attack of the Killer Donuts (2016). She turned to stand-up comedy after her 2017 divorce, using it as an outlet for personal struggles (including depression). She performs live, creates viral sketches and social media content, and hosts the popular First Date with Lauren Compton podcast at YMH Studios (Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky ’s network), where she interviews guests about dating and life.
She modeled for Playboy as Lauren Elise, becoming Cybergirl of the Month, September 2011, and appearing in photoshoots and Playboy TV. This led to some typecasting challenges in mainstream acting. She has done nude scenes in projects like HBO’s Here and Now, and had an OnlyFans account that featured nude/glamour content.
