About Larissa Iapichino

Larissa Iapichino (Italian pronunciation: [laˈrissa japiˈkiːno]; born 18 July 2002) is an Italian long jumper and one of the country's leading track and field athletes. She is the daughter of former Olympic long jumper Fiona May and former pole vaulter Gianni Iapichino.

In addition to her successful athletics career, Iapichino has also made appearances in the entertainment industry as a television guest and public personality. She has taken part in TV programs and media events, reflecting her growing popularity beyond sports and her status as one of Italy's most recognizable young athletes.

She won the gold medal at the 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships and silver medals at the 2023 European Indoor Championships, the 2024 European Athletics Championships, and the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships. Earlier in her career, she won the gold medal at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships and set the World Under-20 indoor best of 6.91 m in 2021.
