Kitty is a London, UK-based aristocrat, model, and socialite. She is the eldest child of Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood. This makes her the niece of the late Diana, Princess of Wales aka Diana Spencer , and a first cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry. She has two younger twin sisters (Lady Eliza Spencer and Lady Amelia Spencer) and a younger brother, Louis Spencer (Viscount Althorp).
Her parents divorced in 1997, and she was raised partly in Cape Town, South Africa (where she attended Reddam House), and partly in the UK. She studied psychology, politics, and English literature at the University of Cape Town. She later studied art history and Italian in Florence and earned a master's degree in luxury brand management from the European Business School London.
Kitty is a professional model signed with Storm Model Management. She has appeared in campaigns and on runways for Dolce & Gabbana (she is a global ambassador and has worn their designs extensively, including at major events) and serves as a spokesmodel/ambassador for the jewelry brand Bulgari. Her modeling work includes covers and features in Tatler, Vogue Japan, and others.

In 2021, she married Michael Lewis, a South African-British businessman (chairman of the Foschini Group) who is significantly older than her. They have a daughter, Athena (born April 2023), and she has three adult stepchildren from his previous marriage.
