About Kristeen Young
Kristeen Young is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She began her career in the 1990s fronting local St. Louis bands - the Goth-indie combo November 9th and the more electronic Waterworks. In 1997, she released her debut solo album, Meet Miss Young and Her All Boy Band. While not commercially successful, her music caught the attention veteran music producer Tony Visconti, who produced her third album Breasticles, which featured a duet with David Bowie. Young subsequently provided backing vocals on albums by Visconti clients Bowie and Morrissey.
Young's Goth/Glam piano and electronics music has earned her comparisons to Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and Danielle Dax.
