(Addendum: Among her numerous high-profile film roles, including a role as Vicki Vale opposite Michael Keaton's Batman, she played Bond Girl Domino Petachi in NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN. Arguably better known is her turn in 9 1/2 WEEKS opposite then-rising Mickey Rourke, which failed at the box office but sold many a soundtrack, and performed extremely well overseas in the unedited version. (Addendum-2: She had a long-running, often-publicly-contentious relationship with one of her exes, Alec Baldwin, despite his deserved reputation as a level-headed cool customer and terribly, terribly shrewd. Among their points of contention was his basically dragging her into an episode of SNL as his "co-host" much against her will. This did not work the healing magic that he had evidently hoped for, as he himself would quip about endlessly for years to come. So far as I'm aware, Ms. Basinger herself has kept up a scrupulous silence in the matter.
