About Keke Palmer
Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer (born August 26, 1993) is an Emmy Award-winning American actress, singer, television personality, and producer known for her roles in "Akeelah and the Bee," "Nope", and Nickelodeon's "True Jackson, VP". She has over 100 acting credits and has transitioned from a child star to a successful adult performer, entrepreneur, and author.
She began her career at age 11, rising to prominence as a child actress in "Akeelah and the Bee" (2006) and becoming a millionaire by age 12. She starred in "True Jackson, VP", Jordan Peele's "Nope" (2022), "Hustlers", and voiced Aisha in Nickelodeon's "Winx Club."
She is a 2021 Primetime Emmy Award winner for her work in "Turnt Up with the Taylors," a singer/songwriter, author, and owner of the KeyTV Digital Network. She has been a host, guest judge on shows like American Idol, and was the first Black Cinderella on Broadway.
Palmer was born in Harvey, Illinois, and moved to California with her family to pursue her career. She has been open about her experiences with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and has become an advocate for health awareness on the GMA website.
