Captain Jack: Tell me about Jennie Rose.
Jennie Rose: I was born in a very traditional family. It was a super religious family. My dad was a pastor. My grandpa was a pastor and all of their siblings were pastors. I was raised by 12 pastors! So religious! My mom is super conservative and doesn’t even speak English. My parents separated when I was 17 years old and I haven’t talked to my dad since then. He was a very troubled man even though he was a pastor. I had a very interesting view of religion. I went to school; I finished college. I have a minor in business and now I want to go do porn so I’m going to do porn! I’m 31-years-old. I feel like I have what it takes to succeed in this industry, being an Asian female and the way that I look. I studied porn for 3 years before I jumped into it. That’s why I’m here. I feel like I can do this for a couple of years.
CJ: How long have you been shooting now?
Jennie: The first shoot was last year in October. But nothing was released until November or December.
CJ: Being raised in that religious environment, did you rebel? Were you a bad girl?
Jennie: No, I was a good girl. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was almost 18 with my first boyfriend. I had a very strict family. Around 17 when my parents divorced, I moved out. I met my boyfriend and finished school on my own. No support came from my family. I didn’t think about doing porn until I was 31. I think I’m at the perfect time to do it.
CJ: Did you have any regular jobs that you worked at?
Jennie: Yes. I worked for a Fortune 500 company. And I had a clothing business, an e-commerce business. Then I had a car rental business. Now, I own my own studio and I run that while I do porn.
CJ: You said you didn’t lose your virginity until you were almost 18. Did you have a phase in your 20s where you really explored your sexuality?
Jennie: My count was under 10 until I was 27. Then I moved to LA and I’ve been mostly single since I moved here. And then the number went up. (laughs)
