About Jada Thorpe
Jada Thorpe was born on July 27, 2000.
She began her basketball journey in childhood and demonstrated her talent during her high school years. Initially, she played two seasons at North Lawndale High School in Chicago, where the team achieved an overall record of 43-11 and secured a state runner-up position in the 2015/2016 season.
Her performance earned her the IBCA Class 3A/4A Special Mention All-State recognition. In her sophomore year, she contributed to the program’s city runner-up finish, averaging 15.3 ppg, 4.6 apg, and 3.4 rpg. During the 2017/2018 season, she transferred to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, where she played a pivotal role in leading the team to an 18-3 record and a state tournament championship. For the Eagles, Jada averaged 16.6 ppg, 5 apg, and 2 rpg.
She began her college basketball journey at Kansas State University, but an injury during her freshman year temporarily derailed her progress. She then transferred to Western Illinois University, quickly gaining attention and earning nominations like Summit League Sophomore Player of the Year.
Most recently, Jada enrolled at Delaware University to pursue a master’s degree in Education.
