About Francesca Barra
Francesca Barra, born on September 24, 1978, in Policoro, Italy, is an Italian journalist, writer, and television presenter known for her strong voice on social issues and her versatile media career.
After graduating in Communication Sciences in Rome, she began working as a reporter covering crime and current affairs for major Italian newspapers and TV programs. Over the years, she became a familiar face on Italian television, contributing to shows on LA7, Mediaset, and Rai, including Matrix, In Onda, and the Concertone del Primo Maggio in Rome. She has also worked extensively in radio, hosting programs on Rai Radio 1 and Radio 2.
As an author, Barra has published numerous books with leading Italian publishers such as Rizzoli, Garzanti, and Mondadori. Her work often focuses on justice, personal stories, and social issues, including a notable book on anti-mafia magistrate Giovanni Falcone co-written with his sister.
