About Eva Pilgrim
Eva Pilgrim is one of the news reporters for the ABC News; she joined the station in 2016, and since then has become a national star. She has contributed to such other shows as “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir”, “Good Morning America”, and “Good Morning America Weekend Edition”, among others.
Eva Pilgrim was born on the 30th August 1982, in Seoul, South Korea; of Korean ancestry through her mother, and American through her father, she and her family moved to the USA, when she was still young. Her childhood and teen years were marred with frequent moves, as her parents were both a part of the US military. Nevertheless, after successfully completing high school, Eva enrolled at the University of Florida, from which she obtained her bachelor’s degree and would then continue her studies at the University of South Carolina.
Following her graduation, Eva was hired by WIS-TV in Columbia; she became the station’s web producer, and for the next two years served in the position, before she decided it was time for a change, and she moved to Bluefield where she joined WVVA as a reporter and morning anchor. For another two years, Eva worked at the station and then joined Fox Charlotte, and for three years at the station she focused on reporting, initially about taxi drivers who refused to drive disabled persons in wheelchairs, and another major story about a woman convicted of swindling military officers across the country. After Fox Charlotte, Eva was hired by WXIN TV in Indianapolis, where she continued to improve her journalistic skills.
Gradually, Eva’s name was becoming more popular and her career was steadily progressing; in December 2012 she joined WPVI, which is an ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, and working even harder, was noticed by the ABC News front office, and soon received an offer to join the main network.
In December 2015, Eva officially became a part of the ABC Network as a news correspondent, based in the New York City area. Eva has since reported on a number of stories and events, such as the Northern California wildfires, Charlottesville protests, and others, which increased her popularity and wealth as well. She can also be seen in some news shows on ABC, including “Good Morning America” (2016-2018), “ABC News Nightline” (2018), and “Good Morning America Weekend Edition” (2016-2018), among others. She was recently named co-host of “Good Morning America”, following Paula Faris leaving.
