Dove Olivia Cameron (born Chloe Celeste Hosterman; January 15, 1996) is an American singer and actress. She rose to fame for her dual role of the eponymous characters in Disney Channel's comedy series Liv and Maddie (2013–2017) and her leading role in the network's Descendants film franchise (2015–2021); the former won her the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children's Programming.

Cameron has since starred in feature films such as Barely Lethal (2015), Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls (2015), Dumplin' (2018), Good Mourning (2022), and Vengeance (2022). She also starred in the NBC live television musical Hairspray Live! (2016), and appeared in several television shows, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Marvel Rising franchise.

Cameron lent her vocals to the soundtrack albums for Liv and Maddie (2015) and Descendants (2015–2019). In 2023, she released her debut EP, Alchemical: Volume 1, which was preceded by the single "Boyfriend", which received critical success, reached the top 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

She was born Chloe Celeste Hosterman. She is of French, Russian, and Hungarian descent. Her father Philip died when she was 15, and her mother's name is Bonnie. She has an older sister named Claire Hosterman. In April 2016, she got engaged to Ryan McCartan, but the couple called the wedding off in October of that year. In late 2016, she began dating Thomas Doherty; they parted ways in October 2020. She came out publicly as queer in 2020. She began dating Damiano David in November 2023. They were officially engaged in October 2025.


TATTOOS :

Cameron began collecting tattoos in 2017, starting with a small “X” on her pinky finger, which she got on her 21st birthday in Las Vegas. In December 2019, she added a tattoo of a revolver shooting a single rose, a design meant to reflect her views on gun control.

Her tattoo collection grew steadily over the next few years. In August 2020, she had the word “SHE” inked on her left ring finger above the knuckle. By January 2021, she debuted a new upper‑shoulder tattoo reading “ALCHEMICAL.”

In September 2021, Dove added matching wrist tattoos: “celestial” on her left upper wrist and “body” on her right. Then, on her 26th birthday in January 2022, she marked the occasion with a sword tattoo on her wrist.

Throughout 2022, she continued expanding her body art. She got an abstract line on her inner forearm, placed beneath a tattoo that reads “candy is dandy.” Later that year, she added a bold gothic script tattoo along the side of her right hand.

Dove also has several smaller pieces scattered across her hands and arms:

• “none of this is real” on her right thumb
• “Immortal” on the inside of her right wrist
• “do it for Aphrodite” along the side of her arm
• A snake on her ankle
• “À Naître” on the inside of her left wrist
• “Matière D’étoiles” on her ankle

She has multiple finger tattoos as well, including a snake on her middle finger and various stars, arrows, and constellation‑style designs on her pinky, pointer, and ring fingers.

Most recently, in February 2023, Dove revealed a new hip tattoo in cursive script that reads “ride swift.”
