About Dolly Parton
Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music.
After achieving success as a songwriter for others, Parton made her album debut in 1967 with Hello, I'm Dolly, which led to success throughout the 1960s. Dolly then became a massive global star in the 1970s/80s. Dolly continued this success through to the present day and is one if the most recognised woman in the world. She has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
Parton is also an actress and made her first feature film in a leading role 1980, portraying a secretary with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in the comedy film 9 to 5. 9 to 5 was a big hit, and she followed this up with other successful film roles, including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Rhinestone (1984) and Steel Magnolias (1989).

Parton turned down several offers to pose nude for Playboy magazine, but did appear on the cover of the October 1978 issue wearing a Playboy bunny outfit, complete with ears.
Parton is known for her hour glass figure and large breasts (which originally were 36E, before enhancement). Dolly has undergone considerable plastic surgery over the years, increasing the size and shape of her breasts to a current 36F On a 2003 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Winfrey asked what kind of cosmetic surgery Parton had undergone. Parton replied that cosmetic surgery was imperative in keeping with her famous image, Parton has repeatedly joked about her physical image and surgeries, saying, "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."
As of February 2026, Dolly has amassed 8.3 million followers on Instagram, 4.3 million followers on TikTok and 1.41 million subscribers on her YouTube platform.

Countless women had implants for many decades before the 60s, let alone in the 60s. Even playboy playmates, 2 to be exact, had implants before they ever were photographed for playboy, in the 60s. Look it up. It is widely known, it is shocking how ignorant people are about such things to be honest. That's like being shocked that New York's New Years Ball of 1939 was transmitted to people's home on TV in different cities around the country. And yet there's still a few people who think TVs only became a thing in the 1950s haha. By 1946 literally many stations were broadcasting daily tv shows to people everywhere. Same with implants, they'd been around at least just as long by the mid-60s as the mid-60s are to now.
But Dolly only got the implants in the late 70s though.

same reasons she declined multiple times in the 60s and 70s to be on playboy nude. Because she has class. She has actual talent and thus self-respect. She was a phenomenon thanks to her voice, writing and beautiful looks. So why would she show her breasts(and she is 80, so I assume you meant back in the 70s)

Dolly Parton is the definition of Americana. I've always thought of her as sort of the Audrey Hepburn of country music, in that she's every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside & never forgot where she came from. I don't think anyone's ever had a bad word to say about Dolly. & What she did for her hometown, creating Dollywood...all those jobs for generations of her neighbors & their kids...there's really nothing to not love about Dolly.

Believe me Dolly Parton is certainly not cheap. My favourite Dolly song is Jolene. It will be 50 years in June since the song reached the UK Top Ten.
