Christina Rene Hendricks is an Emmy Award-nominated actress, best known for her role as Joan Holloway in the AMC cable television series Mad Men.

Christina Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but she was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho for most of her childhood. She got her start acting in Junior Musical Playhouse productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Christina Hendricks has guest starred on other notable shows including ER, Without a Trace, and Firefly. Hendricks was named "the sexiest woman alive" in a 2010 poll by Esquire magazine. In October 2010, Hendricks starred in her first mainstream film, playing a supporting role in Life as We Know It.

Although she is known for her bright red hair, Hendricks is a natural blonde and has been dyeing her hair red since she was ten years old. On October 11, 2009, Hendricks married her fiancé Geoffrey Arend in New York City.

Although she has publicly denied having breast implants, some commentators are not so sure. After initially believing she had had breast implants, plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia later qualified the statement saying it was hard to tell due to her weight gain. The subject of her bra size has also caused controversy in the ladies lingerie blogosphere, with most commentators accepting that Christina is not 36/38 DD/DDD, but more likely to be 32H or 32HH.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Hendricks, 36, says her famous assets are “so obviously real that anyone who’s ever seen or touched a breast would know.”
Hendricks is known to become annoyed and even confrontational when people comment or ask about her boobs. She is also fully aware of how her boobs are sexualized online

On March 5, 2012, several websites posted what were reported to be self-shot photos which were stolen from Hendricks' cell phone. The set of five photographs include four photos which show a woman appearing to be Hendricks posing in risque poses without makeup within a home and a fifth photo showing only an upper torso and arms with large, exposed breasts. A Hendricks representative confirmed the actress' phone was hacked and photos stolen but claimed the one fully nude photo was that of an impostor.

As of August 2026, Christina has amassed 1.3 million followers on her Instagram platform.
