@REDLILI, @Simon19811996 - I'm thinking it's false. There aren't many signs online that say she's Asian. In addition to her dirty blonde/brown hair, she also has blue eyes, which are a recessive gene to brown eyes. Her parents have Caucasian-sounding names. Given she's generally not classified as Asian during her time on the adult film scene, I'm inclined to think she's just good ol' Caucasian.

She is not a natural blonde to begin with. You can she her roots in many pictures on this site or if you venture out you find pictures of her with brown hair.
Having Chinese ancestry simply means someone in you family was Chinese. Could be a grandparents or even great grandparents. The only exemple i can think of right now is Josh Carrott from the youtube channel Jolly who has a Chinese grandma and you can google him and you see no asian chracterics on him either.
Not being classified asian means jack shit in porn. Cassidy Klein and others were callaed a teen well in their late 20s or even 30s and every curvy woman with a slightly darker skin is Latina in porn.
She obviously does not possess any common traits that would make it sense to try to market her as such os it makes sense she was never called asian or even half asian in any porn.
Having "Caucasian-sounding names" means nothing if the asian heritage comes from a woman in the family. If her grandma for an example came to America and married a white guy the name is lost then and there.

@REDLILI - Thanks for the reply. I'm really looking to get to the right answer (or as best an answer as can be), hence the discussion and my making an effort to present points of evidence. Hopefully you don't think I'm trying to start an online argument here. I'm simply a proponent of having accurate information on sites like these.
I agree to the points you made from a technicality standpoint. But I also think that when taken as a whole, the probability of her actually having some Asian descent in her is very low. Most documented sources point to a European-American background; the idea that there are so few references to her being Asian I think is a valid point to consider. With regards to backstage.com, I'd note that the section that refers to "asian" also is a section classified as "appearance" rather than a biography or statistics section.

yeah but with the fucked up family life/upbringing she had, it might be tough to prove anything, depending on your definition of proof. Can't remember when or where, can't even remember if it was an interview, but it was on the internet so that automatically makes it 100% true (am I right?!?), but there was mention of a half-Chinese grandparent, pretty sure a half-Chinese grandmother.
But basing a person's "actual" racial heritage on looks is a complete non-starter for me. Does Cameron Diaz look hispanic/latina? Not to me she doesn't, but she is. Worked with a blonde hair blue-eyed cutie whose dad I met in person several times- he is first generation Mexican American from two parents who came up from Mexico. According to documented eyewitness accounts and interviews with people familiar with the man, Crazy Horse, reportedly full-blooded Lakota (Oglala father and Miniconjou mother), a people known for black hair and darker complexions, had light hair and light eyes, earning him the nicknames "Curly" and Žiží (Light Hair) as a child.
I'm part First Nations but one look at me and you're thinking, "That one there? Half a generation from pure white trailer trash." But family lore of my possible Native ancestry was born out with DNA a few years ago.
So getting DNA evidence for Dakota or anyone else on Bpedia is going to be tough...maybe there needs to be some sort of toggle in the Bio for "alleged" or "reported" or "verified" ancestry

@Lalalamn - I want to be clear that I'm not arguing from appearance. I agree that's unreliable evidence. My argument is probabilistic: when you look at the full body of evidence, the "Asian ancestry" claim has essentially no corroboration.
Every independently-produced source I can find (Wikipedia, IMDB, Rolling Stone's obituary, others) describes her with no mention of Asian or Chinese ancestry. Her aunt gave a detailed press interview about her family history after her death, and it wasn't mentioned there either.
Against that, we have a Backstage.com field listed under "appearance" (not biography) and an IAFD entry. Neither cites a source, and we don't know where that data originated. It could trace back to a single unchecked Reddit post. Adult platforms also actively market ethnicity when it sells, and the near-universal absence of an "Asian" tag across sites that would financially benefit from it is meaningful.
"Possible" and "probable" aren't the same thing. When the only sources asserting something are two website fields with unknown provenance, and every independent source says nothing, why would anyone treat those two fields as gospel?
Let me know what you think. An "alleged" toggle might be a good middle ground.

@luckyasian dude- like I said earlier, really need some DNA to for sure know. And yah, back in the day took a stats course, which was a gpa killer lol, but learned enough to know possibility vs probability. Fun fact, the prof, also my faculty advisor, was the guy who debunked the "hot hand" theory in basketball, doing a slew of analyses that showed everyone basically reverted (or played up if they were "off/cold" (I think))to their mean make-percentage over the course of a game or half or whatever it was (never did read his study - shh don't tell!)
My thing on these bios is eye color...not sure what kinda crap some people's monitors are, but light eyes doesn't automatically mean "blue"

How would you decide whether we should or should not list her as as being mixed race and having her bio listed as being of Chinese descent?

Hey Lucky- Seems like the "About/Other information" box is best bet where unknowns or questioned data comments could go.
As far as a process...don't really have one. If I see a profile with outdated/incomplete info, especially for Athlete babes, where there are loads of sites with track meet results and the like, I'll use that as a source to get info up to date. Likewise, if I've watched an interview or read an article about that disclosed info that contradicts or supplements info already in a babe's bio, I'll add that in and also try to note the source.
For sex worker stars/starlets, in the past it seemed that The Lord of Porn dude/tte would have pretty solid info earlier than other sites, and if there was something pertinent there not noted in Babepedia, I'd add it in if it seemed to check out.

I saw on IAFD and Backstage that her racial background is Caucasian - Asian. The only thing I could find mentioning a 🇨🇳 background was from a Reddit post.
