About Cherie DeVille

Cherie DeVille is an adult film actress, writer and advocate. She is of French-Canadian descent and was raised mainly in the Washington, D.C., area and on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. As a child and teenager she did horseback riding, ballet, band, cheerleading and swimming, and she worked as a lifeguard.

She earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, with studies connected to the University of Hartford and the University of Saint Augustine. She practiced for years as a licensed clinician and traveling physical therapist, including in Tennessee, before changing careers. She had breast augmentation before her adult film career.

After early modeling and pin-up work, DeVille began working in adult film around 2011–2012. She started mainly with girl/girl scenes before expanding into other work, and she has worked largely in the MILF category, branding herself as "the internet's step-mom." She has appeared in over a thousand scenes and films for studios including Brazzers, Evil Angel and Girlfriends Films.

Her awards include multiple AVN Awards for MILF Performer of the Year (among them 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025), other AVN and XBIZ awards, and hall of fame inductions including Brazzers. She has written opinion pieces for outlets including Rolling Stone and The Daily Beast, appeared in the 2023 Netflix documentary Money Shot: The Pornhub Story, and advocated for sex-worker rights and free-expression issues. She briefly pursued a satirical 2020 presidential bid with rapper Coolio before endorsing Bernie Sanders. Her interests include swing dancing and Dungeons & Dragons.
