About Cindy Marina

Cindy Marina (born July 18, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois) is an Albanian-American model, former professional volleyball player, beauty queen, and sports broadcaster. She grew up in Temecula, California, after her parents—both Albanian athletes—immigrated from Albania. Standing at 5'11" (180 cm), Cindy has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was named after supermodel Cindy Crawford.

A standout athlete from a young age, she excelled in volleyball throughout school—earning All-American honors at Great Oak High School and earning a nomination for California Gatorade Player of the Year. She played collegiately at Duke University before transferring to the University of Southern California (USC), where she served as the starting setter for the USC Trojans. Internationally, she joined the Albanian women’s national team at just 17, helping them achieve a bronze medal in the 2018 European Volleyball League.

Cindy began modeling at age 14 and was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2019, making history as the first American woman to hold the title, which caused some controversy in Albania since there were those who felt non-Albanian-born women should not be eligible. She went on to place in the Top 20 at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant. Since graduating from USC in 2020 with a degree in International Relations and Global Business, she has transitioned into television, working as a presenter covering Italian Serie A football matches for Albanian/Kosovo networks and Milan Channel, and collaborating with CBS Sports.

Her modeling and sports background led to campaigns and features for major brands, and she has appeared in editorial spreads for Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam.
