Known mononymously as Belinda, is a singer and actress. She began her career as a child actress when she was just ten years old. In 2002, she signed with BMG and two years later she released her debut album, Belinda. During her first decade in the Mexican pop industry, Belinda became a prominent figure in Latin pop music and popular culture, with a highly publicized personal life, leading her to be considered "the princess of Latin pop." Songs like "Boba chica nice" and "Ángel" became international hits. At this time she collaborated with the group Moderatto for the song " Diriendo slowly." In 2006 she released her second album, Utopia, of which she highlighted "Light Without Gravity", and she made her film debut with a starring role in the Disney film The Cheetah Girls 2. On this album she assumed creative control and composed all of her songs. Two years later he returned to television with the soap opera Camaleones and released the single "Sal de mi Piel", and in 2010 he officially released his third album Carpe diem from which only two singles were released, "Egoísta" alongside the reggaeton singer Pitbull and "Dopamine". Both were positioned first in downloads on iTunes.
In 2012 he collaborated with the Spanish Juan Magán for the song "Te voy await", which was a success in Spain. That same year, while planning her fourth studio album titled Catharsis, she released the single "In love we must forgive", becoming the most requested on the radio. She has also worked as a philanthropist, contributing to various humanitarian and charitable causes. One of its main ones is the fight against childhood cancer. On several occasions she has visited children suffering from cancer in different associations, where she has lived with them, singing songs to them and giving them gifts.
