Avril Lundberg RIP

Avril was an Irish former glamour/nude model and occasional actress, best known as a Penthouse Pet. Before modeling, she worked as a Sunday school teacher and as a nurse at St. Francis Psychiatric Hospital in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. She became Penthouse Pet of the Month for March 1973 (photographed by Bob Guccione) and was named Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1974.
She had limited on-screen credits, including a self appearance on the TV series The Sonny Comedy Revue (1974) and in the video Penthouse: 25th Anniversary Pet of the Year Spectacular (1994). She was married to James C. Huff from 1972 and largely stepped out of the public eye after her mid-1970s modeling peak.
A uncorroborated report from 2013 states: She was forcibly admitted to the Substance Abuse Ward, following convictions for possessing Heroin, Meth and Cocaine. "On admission, she was in a sorry physical and mental state, very emaciated and had been living on the streets. The lady had chronic liver dysfunction and hepatitis. Despite intense physical care, the lady passed over a short time after her admission due to organ failure".
