Born in 1925, Angela Lansbury was a British actress who made most of her career in the USA. She is best known for her role as Jessica Fletcher in the TV whodunit "Murder she wrote" but had previously starred in many Hollywood movies. In 1949 she wed Peter Shaw, an English producer. They had two children and remained married until his death, in 2003.
