Alex Dana, whose real name is Alexandra Canto, is a French singer, born on June 26, 1978, in Marseille.
Alex Dana is one of the five singers in the group L5 : Louisy Joseph, Marjorie Parascandola, Claire L., Coralie Emoi
The group was formed in 2001 on the television talent show "Pop Stars," broadcast on M6, which attracted 10,000 participants during the auditions.
Their first single, titled "Toutes les femmes de ta vie décembre" (All the Women in Your Life December), was a huge success in 2001, selling 1.6 million copies and achieving diamond status. The subsequent album, simply titled "L5," sold 1.2 million copies, but the other tracks released from it did not generate the same level of enthusiasm as the first. Between 2002 and 2006, the group released four more albums, including a "Best Of" compilation, which marked the group's breakup. Alexandra attempted to reform the group in 2010, but without success.

The young woman, who remained very close to Marjorie, another member of L5, then decided to form the duo Diamond Girls in 2011. At the same time, Alexandra also tried her hand at a solo career under the name Alex Dana, but without much success.
The two friends, who had become inseparable, participated in the fourth season of L'île des Vérités (Island of Truths), a reality TV show broadcast on NRJ12 and set in Tahiti.
Alexandra Canto now works as a nail technician in the Marseille region.

Rebranded as New L5, the group L5 reformed with Coralie, Alexandra, Marjorie, and the two new members Julie and Adeline.
In October 2021, the group returned to the stage with a tour entitled Back to Basic 2000.
