Ability to Follow & Like/Favorite Other User's Lists + See View Count For Your Own Lists
The goal of these features is to make lists more rewarding and useful for both list creators and viewers
Currently, when I find a list I really like from another user there's no way for me to let them know I like it.
Conversely, when I make my own list, I also have no idea if anyone else is getting value out of it.
This makes the psychological 'reward' for making, updating & engaging lists lower than it could be.
I think there could be 3 features that could help fix this:
1. 'Thumbs Up' / "Like" button for each list -- show your appreciation to the list creator
2. Follow Button for each list -- get notified when new babes are added to the list. Also encourages the list creator to keep updating it
3. View Count -- List makers can see how many people have viewed their List
WHY ONLY POSITIVE FEEDBACK?
Lists are inherently subjective and the goal of these features would be to encourage users to make more lists / engage with more lists, so keeping it positive only could help with that & prevent users from feeling discouraged.
LIKING ANOTHER USER'S LISTS
This would be a simple "Like" button for each list, just like on all the other major social media platforms.
List creators get a nice dopamine hit when they get notified and list viewers get to show their appreciation for another user's lists.
FOLLOWING A LIST:
Perhaps you could get notifications if a list you follow has been updated or some system that shows a count of however many new babes have been added to the list since you last saw it. Whatever is easiest to implement.
VIEW COUNT:
Knowing how many people are viewing your lists would be another form of feedback as it lets list creators understand which kinds of lists people are engaging with the most, which lists they should keep updating and which kinds of new lists they should create in the future.
