Hm.. Its my understanding that many - not all 'Porn-Actresses' have admitted to being or previously working as Escorts, its my understanding (from certain blogs, fan-pages, etc.) that even some Amatuer/Independent content creators have also.. but that's just rumor. Some may still be active (at the time of profile creation) but aren't now or were at some point but haven't since changed their 'status' publicly.. Tbh it doesn't functionally matter to me, I couldn't afford any of them anyway - its y I'm scrolling here and reddit, & other similar sites .. lol.
But the context is different. We've recently made the editor note/source field required when adding the escort profession. These notes are visible for trusted and top contributors in the revision history. This should help make the information more reliable.
Having become recently a trusted contributor, now I can see the revision history of profiles and I have to say that the required source/note (to add escort as profession) is a bit ignored. Just a few minutes ago I deselected escort from the Alina Lando profile, that was recently added with no source. As for me, in order to add such a sensitive data to a profile, it shouldn't be an automatic process, but first it should be submitted to the staff, and then approved if it meets the requirements. Same as it happens with pictures. And if a user keeps adding escort freely to profiles, it should be penalized, and eventually banned.
The escort profession mention in the Alina Lando profile was added before we made the note required. Removing the escort profession doesn't require a note.
If you see someone add something wrong, please make sure to vote thumbs down in the revision history. Those votes there really matter. Similarly, if someone does a good job, give them a thumbs-up.
I don't know the exact date when the note rule started, I know it's recent but not how recent.
When I removed escort from Alina Lando's profile, I wanted to highlight this rule in case someone gets there to add escort again not caring of the required note to be added.
I see that revisions can be voted, but I had no idea so far that the votes there have some kind of importance. When I received the email about becoming a trusted contributor, it would have been useful to have some instructions about this new "role", including the revision votes.
