Some members enjoy expressing themselves through their creative writing whether anyone reads it or not. The use it as a sort of diary if you will!

Perhaps a good compromise could be for long comments to only show the first x number of characters (where x is some reasonable number, e.g. 200) and if a user wants to read the rest of the comment they click on a 'show more' button (this is how it works on Twitter/X).

That way long comments dont take up a ton of screen real estate when scrolling but commentors can still express themselves without arbitrary limits when they need
