Teri Weigel, born Teresa Susan Weigel on February 24, 1962, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, grew up in Deerfield Beach in a devoutly Catholic family with two sisters and two brothers. Of Swiss, German, and Irish descent, she began modeling at 15, attending John Robert Powers School of Modeling and appearing in Saks Fifth Avenue catalogs and Burdines ads, later landing the cover of Seventeen magazine. Crowned Miss Teenage Deerfield Beach at 17, she moved to New York, commuting from New Jersey for modeling gigs, including French Vogue and Italian Men’s. She appeared on the cover of Playboy (November 1985), became the Playmate of the Month for April 1986, and featured in Playboy videos like Girls of Winter (1988) and Book of Lingerie (1989–1991). Her mainstream roles included Miami Vice (1985–1986), Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1998) starring George Clooney. Predator 2 (1990, as Colombian Girl), Marked for Death (1990), Savage Beach (1989), and four episodes as Jade on Married… with Children (1988–1990). She is best known for being the first Playmate ever to act in hardcore pornography, after appearing in Playboy, in 1991. The first Playmate ever to appear in porn was Miss January 1977 Susan Lynn Kiger who unbeknownst to Playboy had done one hardcore movie in 1976 a year before she shot as a Playmate. She was also the second Playmate to go on to appear in Penthouse magazine (after Ursula Buchfellner), November 1985, although not as a Pet of the Month (that "first" belongs to Lynn Thomas). Weigel said the move into pornography was easy since she and her husband both were swingers and had no issue having sex with other people.
