Yvonne is a Venezuelan actress, businesswoman, model and television presenter who managed to consolidate her career in Spain since the early 1990s.
Ivonne Dayanna Reyes Torres[2] (born October 8, 1967), known artistically as Ivonne Reyes, is a Venezuelan actress, businesswoman, model and television presenter who managed to consolidate her career in Spain since the early nineties. In 1999 he was granted Spanish nationality by residence. [3] On May 16, 2013, she began her career as an entrepreneur with the launch of her first perfume, IR by Ivonne Reyes.
Biography
Ivonne Dayana Reyes Torres was born at the Central Hospital in Valencia, Venezuela on October 8, 1967. Daughter of Francisa Elena Torres and SaĂșl Reyes GonzĂĄlez, she is the fourth of five siblings: Fernando, Nory, Clairet and David Fernando. [4] He studied high school at the Vicente Emilio Sojo and Colegio San Marcos institutes. He lived in sector three of La Isabelica in Valencia until 1985, when he reached the age of majority and moved to Caracas.
In 1990 she married Miguel "Micky" Mata, brother and manager of Venezuelan actor Carlos Mata, who opened the doors to the world of entertainment with small roles. The couple moves to Miami, Florida in the United States once married. Ivonne visited Spain as a tourist but decided to stay in 1991. Her marriage to Miguel Mata ended in 1995. She became a mother on April 3, 2000 with the birth of her only son, Alejandro Reyes Torres, the paternity of her son was attributed to the television presenter Pepe Navarro. [5] Over the years, different legal appeals have been filed. [6]
On May 23, 2016, it is revealed that his younger brother, David, commits suicide in Madrid. [7] On February 14, 2017, her romantic relationship with Sergio Ayala was made public, during the broadcasts of the program Big Brother VIP. [8] In 2019 he premiered on his YouTube channel his first reality show entitled Backstage Experience directed by Venezuelan journalist Héctor Palmar.
Television
She began her career in Venezuelan television with small extra roles in the productions Cristal in 1985 and Abigail in 1988. Due to the success of the Venezuelan soap opera Cristal in Spain,[9] he receives an invitation from his brother-in-law to go on vacation to Spain during the promotional tour and that is how he arrives in Madrid at the end of 1990. She arrived on the small screen in 1991, as a hostess of the contest El precio justo, presented by JoaquĂn Prat. It was followed in order by Todo por la pasta, La batalla de las estrellas, Gran fiesta and El gran juego de la oca, the latter enjoying great popularity in countries such as Mexico and Venezuela. Her facet as an actress was developed mainly on television, first in Venezuela with soap operas such as El paĂs de las mujeres and Hechizo de amor where she made cameos due to her Spanish residence. In Spain she successfully participated in the telenovela La verdad de Laura.
Her facet as a presenter has been the most fruitful on Spanish television. She has recently participated in reality television programs such as the 2017 edition of Big Brother VIP, where she would appear on March 9, 2017 as the eighth contestant expelled from the reality show, and the space Come to dinner with me: Gourmet edition in 2018. She has been a correspondent for the Red Moda channel of the Paraguayan television channel RPC since 2019.
In 2019 she made a cameo playing herself in the television series Señoras del (h)AMPA. [11]
Modeling
She tried unsuccessfully to participate in Miss Venezuela 1986 but in the face of Osmel Sousa's negative response she decided to undertake other projects. She participated representing Venezuela in the extinct Miss Confraternidad Suramericana 1987 Beauty Pageant, where she won third place. With her arrival in Miami, United States, in 1990 she participated as an advertising image of different campaigns with the modeling agency Spotlight where she was the image of brands such as Green & Green. Once in Spain and with the popularity that her projects enjoyed, she was selected as the image of brands such as Torero, PeluquerĂas Rizos and/or Azul Rizos, El Corte InglĂ©s and MĂĄs VisiĂłn. He currently makes corporate presentations for companies such as: Groupama, Philips Morris, NestlĂ© Ice Cream, Heineken, Vodafone, among an endless number of events and inaugurations.
Film
He has participated in different feature films such as: La sal de la vida in 1996, Muchacho solitario with Servando and Florentino in 1999, Los pĂĄjaros se van con la muerte (2011) and Santiago ApĂłstol (2017). He has participated in two short films, Malasombra by Venezuelan director Miguel Ferrari and The Mask of Bauta in 2012.
Theatre
Her debut in the theater began in 1999 when she was chosen by the production company Red Teatral to star in the adaptation of the famous musical Grease entitled 'Grease Tour' where she shared the stage with singers such as Rebeca, Edu del Prado, Ăngel RĂos or Roberto Gilc. [12] In 2012 she starred in the theatrical production Violins and Trumpets with the role of Irene.
Social work
Throughout her career, she has lent her image to different charitable causes, including children with rare and chronic diseases with the Global Gift Foundation in 2017[13] and the Healing Venezuela Foundation in 2019, aimed at collecting resources for children in situations of malnutrition.
