Yuri Komuro (born July 28, 1975, in Ayase, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a former adult video (AV) actress and prominent media personality. Standing 157cm tall with a B88 (D-cup)-W61-H90 physique, she was widely celebrated as the "last AV idol of the rental video era," earning immense popularity for her "girl-next-door" charm and striking beauty.

AV Career (1996–1999)
In her teens, Yuri Komuro aspired to be a mainstream idol while attending a vocational school for the travel industry. At 18, she was scouted in Ikebukuro and debuted as a gravure (pin-up) idol. She eventually made her AV debut in January 1996.
Her entry into the industry was initially intended to be short-lived; she planned to retire after just three films. However, after a brief stint at a conventional company—where she encountered a toxic work environment—she decided to return to her agency and commit to the industry full-time. Despite her "idol" branding, she performed in hardcore scenes and signed an exclusive contract with Hoyu Media Produce (now h.m.p). She reigned as Japan’s top AV actress for four years until her retirement in 1999.

Post-Retirement & Current Career
Since leaving the adult industry, Yuri Komuro has successfully diversified her career. She has appeared in mainstream films, V-Cinema (direct-to-video movies), and stage productions, while also pursuing music and writing a regular column for a sports newspaper.
In 2013, she briefly performed under the stage name "Yuri Komuro" (using different kanji) before reverting to her original name in 2014. In recent years, she has shifted her focus toward becoming a sexual health advisor. In 2015, she became an official advisor for the FINALTOKYO Group, where she advocates for ethical standards in the industry, specifically addressing the issue of forced appearances and supporting the "second careers" of retired actresses.
Following her divorce in 2013, Komuro became a certified psychological counselor. Today, she is a prominent relationship and sexual health consultant, hosting seminars, lecturing business owners, and running a successful YouTube channel. She also remains active in her local community and continues to release new music.
