About Xenia von Sachsen
Xenia Florence Gabriela Sophie Iris Princess of Saxony Duchess of Saxony (born 20 August 1986 in Düsseldorf) is a German singer, writer and columnist. Since 2025, she has been the singer of the Eurodance formation Sqeezer.
Life
Xenia of Saxony is the daughter of the farmer[1] Theo Clevan and the hairdresser and beautician Iris, Princess of Saxony, Duchess of Saxony (born 1955). [2] At the age of ten, she was diagnosed with a bone tumor on her skull, which could not be removed until six years later. [3]
In 2004, she founded her first pop band called Expensive Surprise, with which she appeared several times in the show Popstars of the private broadcaster ProSieben. [4][1] In 2005, she took part in the reality show Die Burg, from which she emerged in second place, after Christian Anders. [5][6] In 2007, several of her columnist contributions were published in the Mallorca Zeitung. [7][8] In 2010, she was on the island of St. Lucia for therapeutic fasting with Michaela Schaffrath, Peer Kusmagk and ProSieben presenter Funda Vanroy for the taff series Projekt Paradies (Project Paradise). [9][10] Xenia of Saxony became known on British television in the same year with the series Undercover Princesses on BBC Three. [11]
In her autobiography Xenia – From the Life of a Princess in the 21st Century [12], published in 2011, Xenia, Princess of Saxony, talks about her abuse and illness and rails against the nobility who are addicted to recognition and marriages and adopted. [3][13][14] On the occasion of the publication of her biography, the head of the House of Wettin, Maria Emanuel Margrave of Meissen, said in an interview with Bild: "She is nothing, cannot have a biography. This thing is a bad derailment, a mishap for our Wettin house, which is well over 1000 years old!" [15]
At the 2013 Vienna Opera Ball, she was the companion of fashion designer Harald Glööckler, who appeared as "Sisi". [16]
In 2016, Xenia took part in the RTL show Das Sommerhaus der Stars - Kampf der Promipaare with her then partner Rajab Hassan. They took 1st place. [17] and won about 50,000 euros in addition to the fee (according to BILD 30,000 €[18]) as well as the title "Celebrity Couple 2016". In November 2016, Xenia took part in the ProSieben dance show Deutschland tanzt as a representative of Saxony.
In 2020, she released her first single with a Japanese cover version of the Helene Fischer hit Atemlos durch die Nacht. [19] In addition, she took part in the reality show CoupleChallenge as a friendship couple with the ex-Deutschland sucht den Superstar candidate Melody Haase, where both won the victory and €65,000 in the final. In January 2021, she took part in the special season The Great Jungle Show of Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!. In 2022, she won the dating format Swipe, Match, Love? – Reality Stars in Dating Fever with Melody Haase as a team. In 2024, she appeared as a nude model in Playboy photographed by Ana Dias. [20] In February 2025, her participation in Celebrity First Dates aired. At the same time, the comeback of the German band Sqeezer with Xenia von Sachsen as singer of the Eurodance formation was announced. [21]
In March 2024, she became the cover star for the German edition of Playboy magazine.
Family
Xenia comes from the House of Wettin. Her mother, Iris, is the daughter of Timo, Prince of Saxony, Duke of Saxony (1923–1982)[22] and Margrit Lucas (1932–1957). [23][24] As the granddaughter of Timo, Prince of Saxony and great-granddaughter of Ernst Heinrich of Saxony, Xenia is a great-great-granddaughter of the last king of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III.[1] Xenia has one sister, Xandra (born 1990). [25] In 2015, Xenia and her then-partner, Rajab Hassan, became parents to a son. [26]
