Daughter of Raffaele Russo (restaurateur) and Eleonora Di Maio (theatrical director), Veronica Maya was born on July 14, 1977 in Paris where he remained until 1982 and then moved to Piano di Sorrento (NA) where her parents manage a restaurant.

At the age of 20 she graduated and then wins a scholarship for the Renato Greco school in Rome, where he made her debut as the theater actress by acting in various musicals.
