About Valeria Moriconi
Valeria Moriconi was one of the most prominent and acclaimed Italian stage and film actresses of the twentieth century. Born Valeria Abbruzzetti in Jesi, Ancona, on November 15, 1931, she initially pursued a career in cinema during the early 1950s. She gained widespread recognition after appearing alongside the legendary comedian Totò in the 1954 classic film Miseria e nobiltà and working with distinguished directors like Alberto Lattuada and Mauro Bolognini. Despite her early silver screen success, her true artistic calling lay in the theater.
