About Tara Monroe
Tara Monroe (born April 25, 1973, in New York City, New York, U.S.) is a retired American porn star and stripper. She is the younger sister of fellow porn star Tami Monroe.
Tara Monroe got into porn in 1993 (20 y.o.) at the urging of her older sister Tami who had entered the adult movie business years earlier, and because of her relationship with adult actor and director John Decker.
Tara won an award for best house dancer of the year (as Valerie Monroe) from Bust Out magazine in 1994. She starred in over 50 movies during her time in the industry.
Tara was a presenter, along with her sister, at the 1994 Adult Video News Awards. Tara and Tomi were featured in a plot based film Sisters (1993), though in different scenes.
Tara retired from the adult film industry in 1996 and started modeling clothing lines in the late 1990's for Tapout and other active sportswear groups. She also danced at a strip club (TJ's) in California until 2003.
She has since retired as a stripper and quit the adult business entirely.
