Tairrie B is an American rapper and singer, she was first known as a solo hip hop artist in the early 1990s, with her later being called "the first white female rapper signed to a major record label", before switching music styles by the mid 1990s and becoming the lead vocalist of nu metal bands Manhole (also known as Tura Satana; from 1993-1999), and My Ruin (from 1999 onwards).

She originally started her music career in the 80s dance group Bardeux from 1986 to 1987, before leaving the group to pursue a solo hip hop career. She became the protégé of fellow rapper Eazy-E and signed with his record label Ruthless Records, and in 1990 she released her debut album Power of a Woman, which failed to chart despite getting favourable reviews from critics. Shortly after the album's release, Tairrie was allegedly punched twice in the face by fellow rapper Dr. Dre at the 1990 Grammy Awards.

In the early-mid 1990s Tairrie decided to change her musical direction towards alternative metal and nu metal. She formed the the band Manhole in 1993, and released their debut album All Is Not Well in 1996. Not long after the album's release, the band was forced due to legal reasons to change their name to Tura Satana, releasing their second album Relief Through Release in 1997, before disbanding in 1999. That same year, Tairrie formed the band My Ruin, releasing their debut album Speak and Destroy only a few months later, and in early 2000, Tairrie started dating guitarist Mick Murphy, who joined the band not long after and helped write and co-produce their second album A Prayer Under Pressure of Violent Anguish. By 2005, Tairrie and Murphy were the only official members of My Ruin, and they married in December 2008.

She appeared nude on-screen in the 1994 anthology drama film Erotique, which remains her only acting role to date.
