About Tabata Jalil
Tábata Concepción Jalil Fernández (born June 3, 1979, in Mexico City) is a Mexican actress, television host and reporter. She is best known as a co-host of the morning shows El Empujón and Venga la Alegría on TV Azteca, where she has worked for over 25 years.
Jalil spent several years of her childhood in Spain before returning to Mexico to study Communications at the School of Political and Social Sciences of UNAM. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences with a specialty in Organizational Communication and completed her thesis in Political Science. Before dedicating herself fully to television, she worked as a teacher.
She began her professional career in 1997, doing internships at A Quien Corresponda with Jorge Garralda. She later worked in news areas, including special assignments covering crime reporting, before transitioning to entertainment. Her ascent at TV Azteca included stints in engineering and systems departments, news, and special assignments.
Jalil has been a main host on Venga la Alegría for over 15 years, where she shares daily content on research and entertainment. She is known for her good humor, charisma, creativity and on-screen presence.
In addition to television, Jalil has appeared in productions such as La Rosa de Guadalupe (2008), 100 Mexicanos VIP (2024) and 100 Mexicanos (2024). She was a gymnast for 15 years and is noted for her love of extreme sports, including surfing, skiing and rock climbing. She also enjoys cosplay and is an advocate for social work and nature.
