About Sophia Macy
Sophia Macy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actors William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman. She was the subject of unwanted attention when her mother was arrested in a wide-ranging scheme to cheat on college entrance exams, with a paid individual posing as Sophia to hopefully achieve higher SAT scores to get into more prestigious schools. Sophia subsequently was accepted into the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama based on her own SAT scores. While in college, her stage work included Annelle in Theatre Aspen's production of Steel Magnolias, Kristine in A Doll's House, and Lizzy in Christmas at Pemberley.
Sophia has worked in film and television on projects such as The Chair, Shameless, and The Twilight Zone as well as the upcoming independent films Brian, which premiered at South by Southwest film festival, and Grizzly Night. She also recurs on the HBO series Rooster, playing one of the students in Steve Carrell's writing class.
